Bangkok Reveals High Voter Turnout for Early Voting: 87.60% Outside Districts, 96.47% Within Districts

On February 2, 2024, at Bangkok City Hall, Narong Rueangsri, Bangkok's Permanent Secretary, disclosed that the city organized early voting at 50 central voting locations. The overall process ran smoothly, with staff effectively managing and facilitating citizens' voting. A total of 845,853 people registered for early voting outside their districts, with 740,966 (87.60%) casting their votes. Within district voting saw 2,747 registered voters, with 2,650 (96.47%) participating. This demonstrates clear democratic enthusiasm among Bangkok residents. The top five locations by voter turnout were highlighted, including areas like Nong Khaem District Office and Siam Technology College. All early voting ballot envelopes have been transferred to Thailand Post for distribution to respective voting districts ahead of the main election on February 8.
