Thailand and IEA Approve Collaborative Energy Plan for Strengthening Energy Security and Clean Energy

The Cabinet, as announced by Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Perissawittawat, approved the cooperation plan between Thailand's Ministry of Energy and the International Energy Agency (IEA) for 2026-2027. The plan aims to enhance Thailand's energy potential over two years, covering key areas such as international energy data exchange, emergency preparedness, energy efficiency promotion, renewable energy expansion, electrical and digital systems, and low-carbon technology collaboration. The cooperation will include regional and global initiatives like preparing Southeast Asian energy direction reports, reviewing ASEAN energy security, personnel exchanges, and continuous capacity building for Thailand's energy sector.
