Buriram Mobilizes! Coordinating All Sectors for MotoGP Preparations with Marshal Training and Medical Drills
All sectors are moving forward at full capacity, intensively training marshals and emergency medical teams, preparing comprehensive measures for accommodations, traffic, safety, tourism, and traveler services ahead of the upcoming MotoGP Pre-Season Test and PT Grand Prix of Thailand 2026 in late February.
The atmosphere at Chang International Circuit in Buriram is becoming increasingly vibrant after the first batch of competition equipment arrived. The circuit has immediately begun installing basic infrastructure while preparing comprehensively to elevate the event to global standards.
Recently, intensive training for marshal and medical teams was conducted to rehearse new rules, competition control, field safety, and working with Race Direction according to international MotoGP standards. They also prepared emergency medical response plans to be as swift and precise as possible. Additionally, the area around the circuit was cleaned and landscaped with cooperation from disaster prevention and local government agencies to prepare for welcoming speed fans from around the world.
Buriram Province held a meeting of the supporting committee for the first World Motorcycle Championship event, led by Governor Piya Pitjamm and other key officials from government, private, and local sectors to integrate preparations for international motorsport fans.
The meeting emphasized measures to support large numbers of tourists, including traffic management, security, transportation, and tourist services. The province plans to highlight 'Buriram Way' by showcasing local identity through culture, local cuisine, and community, even preparing 'Taen' shuttle services to important tourist destinations.
Key measures included strict sanitation checks by provincial health offices, comprehensive traffic and security plans by local police, and consumer protection to prevent price gouging. Volunteer support teams will be available to assist tourists and maintain the event's smooth operation.
