Arrested at Early Voting: Woman Wanted for Village Fund Embezzlement of 4 Million Baht

Central Investigation Police arrested a woman in her early 40s from Chiang Rai province on February 1st at the central voting unit at Taksin Matthayom School in Mueang Rayong District. The police, armed with an arrest warrant from Chiang Rai Provincial Court, tracked the woman who was wanted for fraud. The police waited for her at Polling Station 26 for the Northern Region, allowing her to cast her vote before revealing themselves and arresting her. They charged her with embezzling 4 million baht from a village fund. After recording the arrest at Mueang Rayong Police Station, they will transport her to Bangkok to proceed with legal proceedings.
