Lucky Numbers Emerge During Naga Spirit Worship Ceremony
On February 16, 2026, at the Naga Plaza along the Mekong River in Nakhon Phanom, a ceremonial ritual was held with District Chief Somsak Boonchan presiding over the event. The Sri Sattanakhon Rescue Association, led by President Anucha Warunyusuthon and advisor Pornphan Saentaweesuk (also known as Aun Aun Bunya), organized the ninth consecutive donation ceremony for coffin and cold storage donations to help impoverished families.
The ceremony featured large symbolic representations including a 2-meter replica of Phra That Phanom and a 2-meter Naga spirit statue. Notable Brahmin priests conducted invocations to various spiritual realms, seeking blessings and fortune for participants. During the ritual, traditional dancers performed, and a surprising moment occurred when incense sticks revealed the number 167, causing excitement among lottery enthusiasts.
The event concluded with the rescue association distributing 500 trays of eggs to attendees and tourists as a gesture of good fortune.
