TJ Wins Championship in One Round with Blazing Performance
Pannawit Wangchaisuk, nicknamed 'TJ' or 'The Wolf Juniors', delivered another outstanding performance by winning the Thailand Junior World Tour (Season 2) 4th tournament at Dynasty Golf and Country Club in Nakhon Pathom on February 15, 2026. With a total score of 76 (+4), he clearly distanced himself from second place, emphasizing his development and consistency in the 2026 season.
This tournament was a significant event in the national junior golf tour program, featuring young golfers from various regions competing on a challenging course that required precise shot placement and putting control. TJ started confidently from the first hole, playing methodically according to his practice plan. He scored 40 strokes in the first 9 holes and accelerated his game in the final 9 holes, scoring 36 strokes and closing the day with a total of 76 (+4) to claim the championship beautifully.
His performance reflected improved composure and decision-making, particularly in the later holes where he effectively controlled the game, minimized errors, and consistently secured important pars to maintain his lead until the end of the competition.
Continuous Development in the 2026 Season
This championship represents another successive achievement for TJ in 2569, following his outstanding performances in previous tournaments. It demonstrates clear development in technical skills, game planning, and mental state, including notably better emotional control.
Through systematic training focusing on swing technique, short game, and concentration building, TJ has maintained consistent playing standards and emerged as one of the most promising junior golfers in his age group.
A Significant Step in His Career
This tournament marked an important milestone for TJ, as his father Piyaphong Wangchaisuk, who previously served as his caddie, stepped back to allow TJ to fully manage his game independently.
In this tournament, TJ had to plan his play, choose clubs, and make every shot decision by himself, with only the course caddie providing basic hole layout and information guidance.
His father Piyaphong commented: "In this tournament, we wanted him to try everything independently, from reading the game and selecting clubs to making decisions in various situations. We want him to grow as a golfer who can think and be responsible for his own game. He performed even better than expected and showed increased focus."
Coach's Perspective
His coach, Pro Nam (Thichalada Nitithirasakul), revealed that they recently made minor adjustments to TJ's swing to match his increasing physical strength and ability to generate more power.
"Recently, TJ has become stronger, so we adjusted his swing to suit his increased speed and strength. We also changed his driver and adjusted his iron set to match his physique and swing rhythm, which has been showing progressively better results," she explained.
Pro Nam also emphasized developing sports psychology, encouraging TJ to think positively and enjoy golf more. "We focus heavily on mental approach, wanting him to enjoy the game and not overpressure himself. Golf teaches many life lessons about discipline, patience, and problem-solving. Right now, he's developing very well and we believe he will continue to improve in the future."
