Lawyer Paisarn Furious! Demands Election Commission Explain After Name Disappears, Replaced by Other Party Candidate's Photo

On February 1, 2024, Paisarn Ruengrit, a Demokrat Party MP candidate for Rayong District 1, posted on his Facebook page demanding an explanation from the Election Commission (EC). Early voters at Voting Unit 52 near the National Telecommunications Company in Nonthaburi reported that another candidate's photo was pasted over his, and election officials claimed he was disqualified. Paisarn posted evidence and challenged the EC, stating: "What does the EC say? Please explain why another party's candidate photo is covering my image, seemingly intentionally causing confusion. Voters were told I was disqualified, which is not true." Reporters noted that the candidate board at the polling station had another party's candidate photo from the same number but different district pasted over Paisarn's photo using staples, with his name completely absent from the candidate list.
