Somchai, Aunt Red, and Bannapot Visit Thaksin, Reveal Decision on Yossanan and Pheu Thai Ministry Position

Somchai Wongswat, former prime minister and father of Pheu Thai prime ministerial candidate Prof. Dr. Yossanan Wongswat, along with his wife Yaowapa (Aunt Red) and Bannapot Damapong, visited Thaksin Shinawatra at Khlong Prem Central Prison. This was their 41st visit during Thaksin's 5-month, 10-day detention. Somchai emphasized that this was a routine family visit, expressing care and missing Thaksin. When asked about rumors of Yossanan potentially declining a ministerial position, Somchai stated it's a party political matter and they only offer moral support. Thaksin did not send any specific message to Yossanan, merely being aware of news reports. Somchai stressed that Yossanan should make his own decisions and consult with the party, maintaining that they simply provide family support and encouragement.
