Thai Senior Tour Kicks Off 2026 Sunward Championship/Segawa Cup
The Thai Senior Tour is inaugurating its new season with the Sunward Thai Senior Tour Championship/Segawa Cup, offering a 1.5 million baht prize pool and featuring renowned golf professionals from Thailand and Japan competing at Legacy Golf Club.
On February 16, Sutin Darunyothin, President of the Thai Senior Professional Golf Association, together with Mr. Eliesen Nakamura, founder of Zen Golfer Factory, held a press conference announcing the tournament at Rama Gardens Hotel in Bangkok.
The tournament will feature prominent golfers including Prayad Marksaeng (4-time Japan Senior Tour champion), Udorn Duangdecha (former Thai Senior Tour number 1), Simon Yates, Thaworn Wiratchant, Chawalit Plaphol, and several Japanese champions like Shinichi Yokota and Hideki Kaze.
The event is supported by multiple organizations including the Sports Authority of Thailand and various corporate sponsors. The competition will be a 3-day stroke play tournament with 54 holes, cutting to the top 60 players after 36 holes for the final rounds.
