Mongkolkit Points Out Election Commission's Order for New Voting in 3 Units Violates Constitution

On February 18, 2569, at the Election Commission office, Mongkolkit Sukhsinataranon, a party-list MP candidate and prime ministerial candidate for the New Alternative Party, revealed he submitted a letter to the ombudsman to investigate election management issues. He cited a 2014 example where polling units were closed in two formats, leading the Constitutional Court to declare the election void due to unconstitutional practices. The Election Commission has ordered new elections in Bangkok's District 15, Nan Province's District 1, and Udon Thani's District 6, which Mongkolkit claims violates the constitution. He plans to file a complaint with the Administrative Court regarding voting transparency, especially for overseas voting. Mongkolkit also called for transparency in the election ballot procurement process and asked Secretary-General Sawaeng Boonmee to disclose details about ballot printing, including potential barcode usage.
