Orange Party Candidate in Nonthaburi Faces Campaign Poster Destruction for Two Consecutive Days
On February 2nd at 2:00 PM, Suthat Meesiri, a parliamentary candidate for Nonthaburi's District 6, filed a police report with Police Lieutenant Colonel Siripop Anusiri at Bang Yai Police Station after experiencing campaign poster destruction for two consecutive days. Suthat provided CCTV evidence of the vandalism, which occurred in front of Chaiyaphruek Village on the Canal Road, Moo 8, Sao Thong Hin Subdistrict, Bang Yai District. The first incident on February 1st at 6:02 AM involved an unidentified man destroying two posters, and on February 2nd at 5:59 AM, the same individual deliberately destroyed eight additional posters that had been recently repaired and reinstalled. Suthat expressed concern that this action was attempting to block his and his party's campaign efforts, which is not only a criminal offense but also violates election laws. Police warned that such actions carry potential penalties of up to 3 years in prison and a 60,000 baht fine.
