Arrest Warrant Issued for Local Politician and Associates in Online Gambling Web Case

Cyber Police have issued an arrest warrant for a local politician named Phatommapong 'Periew' Phutaongoen and his associates in an online gambling case. On February 6th, senior police officials conducted searches at two locations in Kalasin Province, targeting a network of online gambling websites. The investigation focused on the website www.huaysodplus.com, which allegedly offered various online gambling services including lottery and other betting options. Five individuals have been targeted with arrest warrants, including a school director, a former police officer, local politicians, and associates involved in the gambling network. Investigators discovered significant financial transactions, with millions of baht circulating through multiple accounts. The suspects are accused of money laundering through real estate purchases, luxury vehicles, restaurants, boxing camps, and even creating religious amulets for famous temples in the Isan region.
