TAT Unveils Golden Horse Year Chinese New Year Celebrations in Bangkok and Hat Yai
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is preparing for the Amazing Thailand Happy Chinese New Year 2026 festival, highlighting this year as a special celebration of the Golden Horse Year. The event will showcase the 51st year of diplomatic relations and 22 years of cultural cooperation between TAT and China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Two main celebration areas are planned: Bangkok and Hat Yai. In Bangkok, events will include light decorations along Yaowarat Road from February 7 to March 1, and a festival at Siam Paragon from February 14-18. The celebrations will feature cultural performances from four Chinese provinces, traditional art demonstrations, and performances by Thai and Chinese artists.
The Hat Yai event will take place from February 17-20 on Sane Nai Nusom Road in Songkhla, featuring lion dances, acrobatic performances, and night light displays. Additional regional Chinese New Year events will be supported in Nakhon Sawan and Suphan Buri provinces.
