Tragic House Fire: Husband Attempts to Save Wife, Dies in Flames

A devastating house fire occurred where a husband desperately tried to save his 33-year-old wife but was unsuccessful. At 02:13 AM, police received an alert about a house fire on Soi Onnut 86 in the Prawet district of Bangkok. Firefighters arrived with 10 water trucks and battled the intense blaze for about 20 minutes, ultimately destroying three wooden two-story houses. The victim, Somruedee (last name withheld), was found dead, burned and clutching a doll. Her husband, Somsak (52), was sitting near the road when he heard an explosion-like sound and saw flames. He tried to enter the house to save his wife, but the gas tank exploded, intensifying the fire. Preliminary investigations suggest the wife was asleep and unable to escape before being overcome by flames.
