Pol. Col. Thawi Visits Buddhist Communities, Proposes Policies to Address Livelihoods and Reduce Fuel Prices in Southern Border Provinces
Pol. Col. Thawi Sodsong, leader of the Prachachart Party and former Minister of Justice, continued his field mission in the Southern Border Provinces on February 3rd. He visited Sala Wan Temple in Mai Kaen, Pattani, meeting with the Buddhist community and emphasizing the importance of peaceful coexistence in a multicultural society. He later met with agricultural representatives from three southern border provinces to discuss farmers' challenges, including production costs and low product prices. Thawi proposed policies focused on improving quality of life through fair agricultural pricing mechanisms. During an evening rally, he stated that true happiness in the southern border region begins with addressing basic needs, particularly by reducing living costs and fuel taxes. He emphasized the party's commitment to justice and decentralization, enabling local people to truly determine their own future.
