Shocking: Fire at Automotive Rubber Factory Leaves 14 Workers Injured
A fire broke out at the ASA Motor Parts Company Limited in Samut Sakhon province on February 10th at 4:30 PM. The factory, which produces rubber parts for car and motorcycle wheels, had around 200 workers present at the time of the incident. The fire resulted in 14 workers being burned, with injuries ranging from severe full-body burns to minor injuries. Emergency rescue workers quickly evacuated the injured, transporting them to Krachum Ban Hospital, Wichai Wech Om Noi Hospital, and Mahachai 2 Hospital. Preliminary investigations suggest the fire originated from sparks that landed on magnesium (a flammable metal) used in the production process, causing an explosion that burned nearby workers. Firefighters used over 10 water trucks and eventually required foam and chemical fire suppressants to control the blaze, which took nearly an hour to extinguish. Police are preparing to interview witnesses and will coordinate with forensic experts to investigate the exact cause of the incident.
