Korat Celebrates Chinese New Year with Spectacular Festivities

Nakhon Ratchasima is hosting an elaborate Chinese New Year celebration from 12-22 February 2026, featuring spectacular dragon and lion dance performances. The Mall Korat's event, titled 'JOY LUCK LOVE CHINESE NEW YEAR 2026 – Galloping Fire Horse, Great Fortune', includes traditional decorations, cultural performances, and special entertainment. Deputy Governor Manat Suwannarin and local Chinese community representatives attended the opening ceremony, which featured a golden dragon and lion performance. Visitors can enjoy traditional street food, participate in cultural activities, and receive promotional red envelope giveaways totaling over 8 million baht. The celebration aims to uphold Chinese cultural traditions while bringing luck and prosperity for the Year of the Fire Horse.
