Explosion at Residence: Insurgent Group Accidentally Detonates Bomb, One Critically Injured, Three Hurt

On February 2, 2024, officials were notified of an explosion inside a residence in Moo 3, Ban Pajo, Yala District, around 8:00 PM. One person, Asri Masong, was critically injured and taken to Yala Central Hospital. Initial reports suggest the incident involved members of an insurgent group who were preparing an improvised explosive device. An estimated 3-4 group members were injured and fled into nearby rubber plantation forests. Security officials have since conducted preliminary investigations at the scene and expressed condolences to those injured.
