The epic historical war film "Gezhi Town – City of Warriors" follows a young man's unwavering spirit during the Japanese invasion period from 1931-1945, starring Chinese superstar Xiao Zhan, directed by Kong Sheng, and written by Lan Xiaolong. Xiao Zhan discusses his character, saying, "Mo De Xian is unconventional, perhaps because of the psychological wounds from the war. He is highly adaptable and can adjust to any environment." "Everyone has a family, and when loved ones are threatened, one must fight to restore peace," Xiao Zhan added. He also shared his experience working with the director and screenwriter, describing initial challenges and pressure during filming, ultimately focusing on giving his best performance.
