Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks Officially Put Up for Sale
The Seattle Seahawks, a prominent NFL team, have been officially put up for sale just 10 days after winning their most recent Super Bowl. The team was originally owned by Paul Allen, a famous American businessman who co-founded Microsoft with Bill Gates. He purchased the team in 1997, helping keep the team in Seattle, Washington, after they were nearly moved to Anaheim, California. Allen passed away in 2018 at age 65, and his estate management team is now proceeding to sell his sports assets, with all proceeds intended for charitable purposes. Allen was also the owner of the Portland Trail Blazers NBA team, which is similarly in the process of being sold. The Seahawks won Super Bowl 2025 by defeating the New England Patriots 29-13 on February 8, marking their second Super Bowl championship.
