Bust Two E-Cigarette Warehouses, Seize Over Hundred Thousand Pieces Worth Over 30 Million Baht
Metropolitan Police conducted a major operation to bust two e-cigarette warehouses involved in an online sales network. The raid took place at 1:00 PM on January 30th, led by high-ranking police officers including Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom.
During the first raid at a two-story house in Navaminster Soi 74, police seized approximately 500 IQOS devices and around 8 hundred thousand tobacco sticks valued at about 10 million baht. Two suspects were arrested - one serving as an online administrator and another responsible for product delivery.
The suspects admitted to running the illegal operation for about two years, earning 15,000 baht monthly. Some customers were ordering between 30 to 200 pieces at a time.
A second location in Ladkrabang was also raided, where over 200 boxes containing TEREA brand e-cigarette sticks were discovered. This second warehouse contained over 100,000 pieces valued at approximately 20 million baht.
Investigators believe the products were smuggled into Thailand by boat, bypassing customs. The operation is part of an expanded investigation following a previous bust in the Rama 3 area on January 27th.
Police will continue investigating the broader network involved in this illegal e-cigarette distribution operation.
