Tragic Accident: Young Couple Killed When 18-Wheel Truck Fails to See Motorcycle While GPS Was Active
A tragic accident occurred when a young couple riding a motorcycle with GPS navigation toward Pattaya arrived at a parallel highway road. At 4:00 PM on February 16, 2026, Police Lieutenant Setthapon Singnok from Nong Kham Police Station in Chonburi was notified of a trailer truck collision with a motorcycle that resulted in two fatalities near Laem Chabang. At the scene, a green trailer truck from Prachinburi province was found with a black Yamaha motorcycle from Ayutthaya province underneath. The victims included a 21-year-old male and an unidentified female. Witnesses reported that the 18-wheel truck was turning into a company entrance and did not see the motorcycle on its left side, causing a collision that dragged the victims under the truck's wheels. Rescue units transported the bodies to Laem Chabang Hospital for further legal processing.
