Editorial - 300-Vote Government
Bhumjaithai Party, as the leading party, is gathering parliamentary representatives from various political parties to form a government, starting with smaller parties who have expressed their support. They subsequently invited Pheu Thai Party, the third-ranking party, to join, which became the first major party to be invited. These two parties combined already exceed half of the parliamentary seats. To ensure government stability and smooth administration without concerns about support, the leading party has contacted smaller political parties to add another 33 votes. At present, Bhumjaithai Party has collected 300 votes, consisting of 74 votes from Pheu Thai, 33 votes from smaller parties, and 193 votes from Bhumjaithai Party, which is considered sufficient. The government's 300 votes exceed the parliamentary majority by 50 votes, and if managed effectively with strong inter-parliamentary coordination, could lead to effective state administration.
