Missed Beach Trip Ends in Tragedy: Pedestrian Critically Injured Under Car After Sudden Collision

A 43-year-old man driving a white Toyota sedan with Bangkok license plates was heading to Jomtien Beach with his family when the accident occurred at 7:30 PM on February 7th, 2024. The incident took place on Sukhumvit Road near a home improvement store in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. The driver reported that a 50-year-old pedestrian suddenly ran onto the road, making it impossible to brake in time. The victim was trapped under the car with multiple fractures and labored breathing. Rescue workers used a forklift to lift the vehicle, performed emergency CPR, and rushed the victim to the hospital. Police investigators are collecting evidence, including CCTV footage, to determine the exact cause of the accident and potential legal proceedings.
