EABC Joins Forces with Government to Enhance Intellectual Property Law Enforcement
The European Association for Business and Commerce (EABC) in cooperation with the European Commission's South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk organized a seminar titled 'Strengthening IP Enforcement in Thailand: Challenges, Best Practices, and The Role of Businesses in Combating Illicit Trade' on February 18, 2026, at Space Jamjuree Square. The event's objective was to create business understanding about intellectual property law enforcement and preventing illegal trade in Thailand, while pushing for more effective and comprehensive IP protection. The seminar brought together experts from government agencies, e-commerce platforms like Lazada and Alibaba, and international organizations to discuss best practices, challenges in IP law enforcement, and strategies to combat illegal trade. Key participants included Parinee Adulyapichet, EABC Chair, and representatives from the Department of Intellectual Property and various law enforcement agencies. The event also released an open document with recommendations for addressing illegal trade issues and promoting IP protection for businesses.
