42-Year-Old Woman Successfully Finds Date After Spending Big on 'Marry Me' Highway Billboard
On February 18, a 42-year-old American woman created a major buzz for Valentine's Day after spending thousands of dollars on billboards with the message 'Marry Me' along major highways, attracting over 4,000 date applicants and ultimately going on a successful date, despite significant expenses and heavy criticism. Lisa Catalano revealed to local media that her love-seeking campaign involved substantial billboard advertising along Highway 101 between Santa Clara and South San Francisco, California. The campaign, which began in fall 2025, generated massive interest with over 4,000 men submitting applications through her website. She personally reviewed all applications, ultimately narrowing down to 5 potential dates in the first round. Interestingly, her Valentine's date was not from the initial applicants but a man she had been seeing for about a month. They watched a romantic comedy and prepared dinner at home, not yet deciding on their future but feeling optimistic. She also placed 14 special billboards reading 'Happy Valentine's Day from MarryLisa.com' for two days and purchased digital taxi roof advertisements in San Francisco. Despite facing online criticism and being called 'desperate', Lisa remained defiant, stating she knows exactly what she wants. The campaign originated from her frustration with dating apps that never lead to meaningful conversations or relationships. Currently, her application process remains open for single men aged 35-47, with immediate disqualification for those outside the target area or not seeking marriage.
