Two Soldiers Forced to Submerge in Sewage Pit, Military Takes Legal Action
Two soldiers were forced to submerge in a sewage pit after returning to camp late, with their heads pushed down to the neck level and subsequently beaten with a stick. The incident occurred at a military unit in Prachinburi Province. On February 20th, the Royal Thai Army's 2nd Infantry Battalion brought the affected soldiers to file a criminal complaint against a sergeant who coerced them into inappropriate actions. The unit confirmed the incident involved Sergeant Nattakul Phakdee and has taken steps to control the offender and prepare for legal and disciplinary proceedings. The military has pledged to fully support both disciplinary action and complete legal prosecution.
