Train Staff Recount Horrific Moment: Unidentified Man Killed After Lying Across Railway Tracks

At 10:30 AM on February 16, 2026, Police Colonel Tattep Klam-em from Phra Phrom Police Station in Nakhon Si Thammarat was notified of a fatal train accident near Mamuang Song Ton Station. The Bangkok-Nakhon Si Thammarat train, route 85, was approaching its destination when the driver spotted an unidentified man lying across the tracks. Despite an emergency brake attempt, the train could not stop in time and struck the man, killing him instantly. The victim was an unidentified male around 40-50 years old with no identification. Authorities are working to identify the man and locate his relatives.
