At Mae Chan Witthayakom School in Mae Chan District, Chiang Rai, Yossanan Wongswasdi, a Pheu Thai Party prime ministerial candidate, arrived to campaign for party MP candidates, including Piyarat Tiyapairach (District 2, Candidate 2), Chaiyon Srisamut (District 6, Candidate 4), and Sanga Prommueang (District 7, Candidate 8). The rally was energetic, with the area packed with supporters. As soon as Yossanan arrived, people rushed to hug him and take photos, presenting him with marigold garlands, nam, crispy pork, and chili dip. Yossanan greeted the crowd, saying he studied in Chiang Rai for three years from kindergarten to first grade at Chiang Rai Kindergarten School. He expressed his gratitude to the province and promised to serve all 7 districts. He emphasized that any campaign must offer hope, with his vision of Chiang Rai as a happy, clean, safe city of art, culture, international trade, and improved quality of life. He pledged to make this vision a reality on February 8th. Addressing local agricultural needs, he promised to support tea, coffee, and vegetable farmers by creating an e-commerce platform to connect production with government requirements. He also plans to develop agricultural product processing and support tourism by exploring high-speed and dual-track railway connections. Yossanan declared a final war on drugs, aiming to make Chiang Rai drug-free. He proposed working with police and local administration to rehabilitate drug users and prevent cross-border smuggling. He stressed the need for collective effort and asked for support to bring northern representatives into the parliament.
