Ultimate Pride: Young Folk Singer Ton Khao Wins "Seed of Wisdom" Award
Supreeya Taaudom, known as "Ton Khao" from the TV show "Duel Song for Scholarship", received the prestigious "Seed of Wisdom" award from the Book and Educational Media Distributors Association. The award was presented by Naowarat Phongpaiboon, a National Artist in Literature and former senator.
The award came with a special gift of an improvised poem, which greatly delighted the 13-year-old folk singer. The "Seed of Wisdom" award was established by Ek Akkee, a famous entertainment writer and book industry journalist.
The award was presented during the "Opening the World of Readers, Books are Seeds of Wisdom" School Book Fair, held at the Kalapapreuk Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of Kanchananukhro School in Kanchanaburi Province, with many students and honored guests in attendance.
Ton Khao shared her feelings, saying, "Thank you, Professor Naowarat, for presenting the award. I'm very proud of this award and happy that you wrote a beautiful poem with my name in it. Personally, I love writing poems, learning Thai, and reading. Using Thai language correctly directly impacts my singing."
Dr. Sompong Techaratanaworakul, the school director, expressed immense pride in this student, considering her a high-quality seed worthy of the "Seed of Wisdom" award. He noted that her achievement brings honor not just to herself, but also to the school and Kanchanaburi province.
