Chulalongkorn University's Halal Science Center Drives 'Green Halal' Strategy, Targets Turkish Market Expansion
The Halal Science Center of Chulalongkorn University is moving forward with the 'Green Halal' strategy through a Green Economy Marketing and Market Expansion activity in Türkiye from February 8-13, 2024, in Istanbul. The mission aims to raise Thai halal product standards to an international level and open trade opportunities in the Europe-Middle East region.
A delegation led by Dr. Anat Den-YingYot, accompanied by representatives from various Thai companies, conducted proactive missions including business negotiations, market exploration, and network building in Türkiye.
Key activities included a Business Matching event at the Mövenpick Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel, which attracted local importers and investors. A Thai Night Networking Event was also organized to showcase Thai identity through food, culture, and halal innovations.
The delegation visited key institutions like the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), TÜBİTAK National Metrology Institute, and Turkish Standards Institution to exchange knowledge on halal standards, quality control, and potential collaborations.
