True Corporation Joins Police and NBTC to Raid Suspicious Building, Cut Cross-Border Internet Equipment
On February 13, 2026, True Corporation supported a joint operation with the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCT) and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) to raid a suspicious building in Mae Sai, Chiang Rai Province. The goal was to dismantle call center networks and immediately cut off illegal internet usage after detecting abnormal signal patterns. Police Major Trhin Leelarnuch explained that they found a rented apartment near the border with unusually high internet usage, particularly during nighttime. After obtaining a court warrant, they discovered illegal equipment transmitting internet signals across the Myanmar border. No residents were present, but police seized network equipment and disconnected internet services. Jakkrit Urairat, True Corporation's Head of Government Relations, confirmed the company's commitment to closely collaborating with security agencies to prevent network misuse and support online crime prevention efforts.
