Murder and Dismemberment of Russian Man: Suspect Arrested Over Alleged Debt

On February 1, 2024, the case of Mikhail Emelyanov, a 30-year-old Russian national who disappeared without a trace, has been uncovered. His mother, Olga Lazabenko, 51, flew from Russia to Thailand to report her son's disappearance after he was threatened about a 120,000 dollar debt. Police investigators discovered Emelyanov's dismembered body parts buried in 5 different locations near a pond in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung, Chonburi province. Preliminary investigation suggests he was killed by a fellow Russian national, with body parts carefully concealed and wrapped in black bags and clothing.
