Police Surround and Capture Drug Suspect Hiding in House, Two Officers Injured During Shootout

At approximately 3:30 PM on February 1st, 2024, authorities received a report of a drug warrant fugitive hiding in his own home in Soi Market Kasem, Moo 7, Subsamotod Subdistrict, Bung Sam Phan District, Phetchabun Province. The suspect, identified as 'Tor' (pseudonym), fired multiple shots at police officers, causing two officers to be injured. Police cordoned off the three-story commercial building where the suspect was hiding on the third floor. After extensive negotiations involving the suspect's wife and relatives, police negotiation team led by Pol. Lt. Col. Pramuk Pinploemjit from Bung Sam Phan Police Station successfully persuaded the suspect to surrender at 6:30 PM. The suspect was initially believed to be carrying approximately three firearms.
