Health Officials Die in Fatal Van Collision with Highway Truck

A tragic accident occurred when a public health van from Uthai Thani province traveling to Kamphaeng Phet province collided violently with a highway maintenance truck parked on the right lane collecting logs. At 3:07 PM on February 10, 2026, police in Nakhon Sawan were notified of the incident on the Phahon Yothin Road between Nakhon Sawan and Kamphaeng Phet. The Toyota van from the Uthai Thani Public Health Office crashed into a 6-wheel truck parked on the far right side of the road. Three people were confirmed dead, including the van's driver, a doctor, and a professional nurse. An additional 5 passengers were injured, and several truck occupants were also hurt. Rescue teams provided initial first aid and transported victims to hospitals. Initial investigations suggest the highway maintenance team was collecting logs when the van crashed into their parked vehicle.
