Police Arrest Gang of Teenage Motorcycle Racers Causing Disturbance in Late-Night Street Racing
Surin Police arrested 11 teenage motorcycle racers who were racing and causing noise disturbances in the area. On February 5, 2026, senior police officers ordered a special patrol unit to investigate reports of loud motorcycle racing near the city bypass road (Highway 239) in Ban Kae Noi, Mueang Surin District, Surin Province.
Police identified a high-risk area where youth frequently gather to race motorcycles. They found approximately 11 vehicles racing and managed to seize one motorcycle. After questioning and checking phone records, they identified the individuals involved.
Police ultimately collected enough evidence to charge 11 individuals, including some minors, and seized 11 motorcycles. The group was charged with 'unauthorized racing' and 'driving without regard for others' safety' under the 2022 Land Traffic Act, and were handed over to the local police station for further legal proceedings.
