Rider Terrified After Rival Gang Attacks: Beaten and Shot at Twice, Narrowly Escapes
On February 18, 2024, at Ratchaphruek Police Station, Thanyapawat Subchotivanich (38), known as 'Hia Tong', accompanied Sayomphoo Langa (30), a delivery rider, to file a complaint with Deputy Investigation Chief Jeerasak Homanun after being attacked by rival gang members.
The victim reported the incident occurred around 3:00 AM near a kratom shop on Pracha Uthit Road. A man named 'Tee' or Thongchai Leamhlakchai (around 40) and his group first physically attacked him after a minor confrontation. During subsequent encounters, the suspect pulled out a gun and fired two shots, forcing Sayomphoo to flee in fear.
'I know this person and we've had ongoing conflicts, but I never expected it would escalate to gun violence. I won't settle this and want to take it to the full extent of the law,' the victim stated. After seeking help from 'Hia Tong' on Facebook, fearing the case might be dismissed, he filed an official police report.
Investigators have accepted the complaint and will gather evidence, check CCTV footage, and pursue legal action while ensuring fairness to both parties.
