Drone footage captured the extensive wildfire at the Sakaerat Environmental Research Station in Udom Sap Subdistrict, Wang Nam Khiao District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The fire, which started around 8:00 PM on February 12th and continued until 9:00 AM on February 14th, has been mostly extinguished. Multiple agencies including the Forest Department, National Parks Department, Army Region 2, and local authorities collaborated to control the blaze. The fire has created smoke across Udom Sap, Thai Samakkhi, and Wang Nam Khiao sub-districts, affecting visibility and air quality. A helicopter from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment conducted a survey to assess the damage, with initial reports indicating approximately 7,000 rai of forest area were impacted.
