A 59-year-old man dressed as Bruce Lee, carrying two-section nunchucks, was captured on video walking through the Geylang area of Singapore in 2025, displaying martial arts moves before being arrested. The Singapore court sentenced him to 6 months and 2 weeks in prison, along with a fine of 2,000 Singapore dollars (approximately 50,000 baht) for illegally possessing dangerous weapons. According to local media, the perpetrator, Li Hong Wei, claimed to be a martial arts instructor and stage manager from China. In an Instagram video posted on October 8, 2025, Li was seen wearing a bright yellow tracksuit with black stripes similar to Bruce Lee's iconic outfit, standing on street barriers and swinging nunchucks. Bystanders called him the 'Bruce Lee of Singapore' amid laughter and applause. After the video went viral, police tracked him down on October 12, discovering he possessed nunchucks, five-pointed kunai, and hand guards.
