Chelsea Secures Shirt Sponsor After Nearly 3 Years
Chelsea has secured a shirt sponsor on the front of their jersey for the first time in almost 3 years after reaching an agreement with IFS (IFS), an AI company, with a contract lasting until the end of the current season. The 'Blue Lions' of the English Premier League confirmed in a statement that they have reached an agreement with IFS, an artificial intelligence (AI) company, to be the team's shirt sponsor for the remainder of the current season. Chelsea has been without a shirt sponsor for nearly 3 years, since ending their contract with mobile network company Three in 2023. The club did not disclose the value of this latest agreement. Chelsea also revealed in the statement that this agreement marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration with AI at the heart of football performance development, though the club did not specify whether there would be conditions for contract extension in the future. The agreement takes effect immediately, meaning Chelsea will have a shirt sponsor starting from the Premier League match against Burnley on February 21st, and IFS will also sponsor the club's women's team.
