Si Nakhon, Sukhothai Residents Demand Urgent Action Against Repeat Burglars
Residents of Si Nakhon, Sukhothai are pleading with police to catch repeat burglars who have been terrorizing the community. On February 3, 2026, Ms. Thanyapitcha (surname withheld), 41, reported being burglarized three times, with one suspect caught but two others still at large. The first break-in occurred in August 2023, when thieves entered through a window while she was away caring for her father, stealing religious amulets, cash, and watches worth over 100,000 baht. Subsequent break-ins occurred even when her elderly father was present, with one incident happening while he was sleeping in a mosquito net. The most recent break-in on January 13, 2024, happened just after her mother's death, prompting her to install security bars to prevent future incidents. Ms. Thanyapitcha is desperately calling on authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation and arrest the criminals to restore community safety.
