Dramatic Fire and Explosions at Paper Factory in Bang Phli, Firefighters Thrown by Blasts
At 3:50 PM on February 14, 2026, the Bang Chaloeng Disaster Prevention Center was notified of a fire at a paper factory in Bang Chaloeng Subdistrict, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province. Firefighting teams rushed to the scene to find flames erupting in the side production building, filled with machinery and highly flammable chemical solutions. The fire originated in a production room with hundreds of liters of solvent and adhesive chemicals, causing continuous explosions. Two firefighters from Bang Chaloeng were attempting to suppress the fire with chemical foam when a massive explosion threw them to the ground. Despite being knocked down, the firefighters continued their efforts and eventually controlled the fire after about 90 minutes. One male employee was slightly injured by the explosion blast and was taken to the hospital. Police are investigating the incident and will interview witnesses to determine the cause of the fire.
