Hot-Tempered Man Chases and Attacks Female Rider After Being Warned About Reckless Driving

On February 9, 2024, Ms. Pojnee, a 37-year-old rider, brought CCTV video footage to the media after being severely physically attacked by a man. The incident occurred around 7:00 PM on February 7 near an apartment on Mitrmit Mitri Soi 5 in Samut Prakan. CCTV footage shows the perpetrator parking his motorcycle, removing his helmet, and walking directly towards the female rider. He then repeatedly struck her with his helmet, forcing her to plead for her life and flee to nearby residents for help. Another CCTV angle captured good Samaritans attempting to help the victim, which escalated into a confrontation with the perpetrator. Ms. Pojnee explained that the incident began when the man cut her off while driving, and she warned him to drive carefully. He responded with vulgar language and tried to ram her motorcycle. When she pushed him away, he became enraged and chased her, attempting to kick her motorcycle and cause her to fall. Both Ms. Pojnee and the perpetrator filed assault charges at the Samut Prakan Police Station. Police Colonel Chakkrit Srirojnakun confirmed that the investigation would proceed, with the female rider clearly being the victim and not voluntarily engaging in a confrontation.
