Police Capture 'Pon Bueng Yai' on Arrest Warrant for Fatal Road Conflict

On February 17, 2024, police officers were ordered to arrest Yuttana (surname withheld), known as 'Pon', age 18, who was wanted on a juvenile court arrest warrant. The warrant was for charges including carrying a knife without reasonable cause and causing fatal injuries. The incident originated on October 19, 2022, when two motorcycle groups encountered each other on Nawamin Road, exchanging provocative looks. A group of 6 suspects chased another group, forcing their motorcycle to fall and attacking with knives. The pursuit ended dramatically when the victims' motorcycle crashed into a pickup truck, resulting in two fatalities. After the incident, the suspects threatened, saying 'I'm from Bueng Yai, remember this!' All 6 participants were initially charged, and the court granted temporary release. However, Yuttana failed to report as required and went into hiding, leading to his eventual capture by police.
