Teenage Gangs Clash with Knives and Guns, Shooting Recklessly in Front of Pathum Thani Shopping Mall
A dangerous incident occurred at 9:40 PM on January 31st near the Sear Rangsit Shopping Mall on Phahonyothin Road in Pathum Thani. Over a dozen teenage rivals from different groups engaged in a violent confrontation, using both knives and firearms to chase and shoot at each other in the middle of the night, creating panic among passersby. Theeraphong Maneesri, a 40-year-old motorcycle taxi driver and witness, reported seeing around 10 teenagers, believed to be from rival institutions, armed with knives and unidentified firearms. Approximately 5 gunshots were heard as the groups chased each other on motorcycles, shouting challenges and shooting while running through the street. After the incident, the teenage groups quickly scattered and fled. Another witness, Mana Kongdee, 50, who was driving nearby and about to turn into McDonald's, described hearing multiple rapid gunshots, possibly more than 10. He was unsure if they were from guns or grenades. He saw 5-6 teenagers riding away and was so frightened by potential stray bullets that he quickly turned his motorcycle and immediately called the police.
