Akara Asks to Wait and Hear from Party Leaders on Government Coalition Deal

Akara confirmed that the Ministry of Agriculture is not owned by the Kla Party and does not believe it will create tension between Kla and Bhumjaithai parties. During a press conference at Government House on February 17, 2024, Akra Prompha, Minister of Social Development and Human Security and prospective Phayao MP from Kla Party, discussed the upcoming party meeting on February 19. He stated that party secretary Pai Lick has not yet provided details about the meeting's agenda. Deputy Prime Minister Thammanas Prompha, who serves as the party's advisory chair, has not yet spoken or met with other party members. When asked about confirming support for Anutin Charnvirakul as Prime Minister, Akara said the decision must follow party executive committee policy. He emphasized that political etiquette requires consideration and that they are waiting for clarity from party leadership.
