Another Incident! 'Ton Kla' Bangkok MP Candidate Accuses Korat Officials of Voter Rights Violation

On February 1st, 2024, Jariyuth Jaturapornprasit, a Bangkok MP candidate for the People's Party in the Yan Nawa-Bang Kho Laem district (Candidate No. 9), posted on Facebook alleging serious election misconduct. He claims election officials at an advance voting unit in Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima completely mishandled their duties. Specifically, Jariyuth reports that his candidate introduction documents went missing, and the election board skipped from Candidate No. 8 to No. 10, entirely omitting his information. When questioned, officials casually claimed that Candidate No. 9 had been disqualified. Jariyuth strongly refutes these claims, declaring he remains a legally valid candidate "100%" with no rights revocation. He accused the officials of spreading false information that could mislead voters, damage his popularity, and cause immeasurable harm. He is demanding the Election Commission (ECT) immediately investigate and punish the responsible officials, suggesting their actions might constitute official misconduct or potentially violate electoral laws with criminal penalties. Jariyuth wants a full investigation of voting units nationwide to prevent similar incidents.
