Thammanat Fears Election Nullification, More Concerning Than Government Formation

At the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives on February 18th at 11:15 AM, Capt. Thammanat Phromphao, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, spoke about his upcoming European trip and party meetings. As Kla Party advisory board chairman, he discussed delegating responsibilities to party leader Narumon Phinyosinwat and secretary PaiLikk during his absence. Thammanat expressed significant concern about potential election nullification, stating it would be more problematic than government formation. He noted that the party has consulted multiple legal experts, including former attorneys general, judges, and election commissioners who are worried about the current precarious political situation. When asked about potential re-elections, he admitted politicians are ready but exhausted, emphasizing that the short campaign period from December 12th to February 8th was incredibly intense. He stressed that while he doesn't want to create new controversies, his concerns about election legitimacy are very real.
