Hot Amulet News - Commemorative Medal of Luang Por Phet from Wat Nonsri, Ayutthaya, 1946 Edition

Luang Por Phet was a highly respected Buddhist monk from Bang Pahan, born in 1867. He began his religious education at a young age, studying Thai and Khmer scripts under a local monk. At 16, he entered monkhood at Wat Rachaburana in Bangkok, studying under several prominent teachers. Throughout his life, he was dedicated to education, developing local schools, practicing traditional medicine, and creating sacred amulets. He was recognized with multiple ecclesiastical ranks and was considered one of the most prominent monks in the Ayutthaya region. In 1946, on his 80th birthday, his disciples created a commemorative medal, which became highly sought after by collectors. He passed away peacefully on August 5, 1950.
