Abhisit Confirms Democrat Party Budget for 4 Years Less than Pheu Thai's, Criticizes Bhumjai Thai's Mobilization Efforts
Abhisit Vejjajiva, leader of the Democrat Party and prime ministerial candidate, defended his party's policy budget during a campaign visit to Saeng Thip Market. He emphasized that the party's 4-year budget proposal is carefully calculated and less expensive than other parties, particularly Pheu Thai. During his market visit, he was accompanied by Sakoltee Phattiyakul and campaigned for parliamentary candidate Pongsakorn Khwanmuang in Bangkok's Watthana district. Addressing concerns raised by the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI) about policy spending, Abhisit argued that the budget covers continuous 4-year projects and does not create fiscal burden. He also criticized Bhumjai Thai for inconsistent messaging about potential political coalitions, noting their tendency to mobilize voters by creating divisions between parties.
